FIO is an independent digital studio based in the Netherlands.

Why do we use your information?
We use information submitted through the website to:
- review and respond to inquiries
- understand your project or business needs
- determine whether and how FIO can help
- communicate about a potential project, FIO Audit or ongoing service
- protect the inquiry form from spam, abuse and duplicate submissions
- maintain the security and reliability of the website
We do not use information submitted through the project inquiry form to automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.
Our legal basis
Depending on the context, FIO processes personal information because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to perform a contract, to comply with legal obligations, or because FIO has a legitimate interest in responding to inquiries and operating and protecting its website and services.
Where consent is legally required for a particular type of processing, we will request it separately.
Who processes your information?
FIO uses trusted service providers to operate its website and communication infrastructure. These currently include:
- Google Workspace
- Used for business email and communication.
- Resend
- Used to securely deliver website inquiry notifications.
- Lovable
- Used to build, host and operate the FIO website and its server-side functionality.
These providers may process limited personal information on FIO's behalf where necessary to provide their services.
FIO does not sell personal information.
Where is information processed?
Some technology providers used by FIO may process or store information outside the Netherlands or the European Economic Area.
Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information in accordance with applicable data protection law.
How long do we keep information?
FIO keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to inquiries, managing potential or existing client relationships, meeting legal obligations and resolving disputes.
Information from inquiries that do not lead to an ongoing business relationship will not be kept indefinitely.

How we protect information

Website inquiries are transmitted through a secure server-side process. Email delivery credentials and other sensitive infrastructure secrets are not exposed to the public website.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Cookies and analytics
FIO does not currently use advertising or profiling cookies. If analytics or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced in the future, this policy and any required consent mechanisms will be updated before those technologies are enabled.
